Giving Thanks
Last night I attended probably the biggest and best planned thanksgiving function in New Zealand.
There were rumors of production flowcharts, there were turkey basters, meat thermometers, pumpkin pies, 4 massive free range chickens, and more mash potatoes than even I could master.
Betsy delivered a very educational session on the meaning of Thanksgiving and 20 odd of us sat on couches and drank wine while watching the 3 American chefs cook up a storm.
We all agreed that every so often it is nice to give thanks for the simple pleasure of having food on the table and good friends and family (And all the other things we rummaged up in a group thanking session in the hallway on the way out)

Next year, join the Canadians as well then – we celebrate Thanksgiving on the First Thursday in November, as it’s too cold by the last!
Now young lady, get on the cross trainer and remove the 30 lbs I put on eating turkey and mash this month!

Dave,
I consider that an invite, putting it in my calendar.
And FYI, a little mash never hurt anyone :)
