Local Phone Numbers in Any Country Redirected to Wherever You Are
We love our Skypein numbers, at about $20 a month and 2 cents per minute calling rates, they are hardly a massive business investment. In fact, when we can get Skypein numbers in New Zealand (Come on Skype don't forget us!), we will happily abandon the phone companies that have been ripping us off for years and make and take all our calls through Skype.
This morning I also found Jet Numbers. The difference between this service and Skype is that you don't have to use the internet to make and take calls, and that the calls are only one way – you have to pay full toll costs when you call out. It seems to be more expensive than Skype and the website is very hard to navigate – actually seeing what the thing will cost you was impossible because of some kind of popup error.
If you're looking at some kind of calling solution for a global business, just use Skype. Competitors try to make their services look different, easier and more comforting for the non-techie types, but take the plunge – it's not a very big one – and use Skype to cut costs, give yourself a global presence and feel the ease of calls from anywhere to your phone, wherever you are.
