Some changes to Decisive Flow
I know a couple of people have asked about my switch back here and Tim leaving, I was waiting until everything had been confirmed to make The Official Announcement.
The short story is that after a year of working on PlanHQ, I had a nagging feeling that I wanted to do something different, work on more things and spend some good time re-figuring out what I wanted to do. I could see another 5 years passing and me still filling in gaps instead of taking something and running with it. Because PlanHQ is very much Tim’s baby, we made the decision that he would stay on there full time and I would take over Decisive Flow completely and after 4 years, go our separate ways.
While it was a difficult decision to make, it was made almost 6 months ago now and I have absolutely no regrets. Coming back here has been everything I wanted and more. I love being back face to face with customers. I LOVE it. I love the challenge of finding new ways to help people and make their website into something noone else has.
I even love writing proposals and find myself getting way too excited about the ideas I have for someones site.
I love working till all hours of the night on our new website, I even enjoy the odd call in the wee small hours from the other side of the world.
I feel completely inspired, very relaxed (given we are kind of rushed off our feet) and finally have time to smell the roses.
So, while it was hard to leave everything I’d done in PlanHQ behind, it was definitely and without doubt time to move on. With one day to go of this working year, I’ve finally reorganised things at this end and can’t wait to start the new year with a bang.
It’s awesome to be back!

I have this theory that cars drive a lot better with one driver rather than two so it will probably work out better for both of you :)
Like the new decisive flow website btw. Super easy on the eye!

Yes, it gets a bit like that :)
Thanks Marc, your compnay looks like it’s getting bigger and better by the day this year!

Sounds like some exciting changes. I hope everything works out well for you both. I also hope you are still able to devote some attention to Simple and Loveable. It’s become one of my favorite blogs this last year and I will miss it if you aren’t posting regularly.

Thanks Matthew!
This blog will definitely get some serious time from now on. The last two weeks aside, I have renewed inspiration to ramble as much as possible :)
