You know you’ve made it when…

People start asking if they can pay you to put links on your blog.

It’s actually very flattering.

But I think it would muck up the design too much and also I worry that my rants would be somewhat diluted when I cannot speak out against my advertisers.

Thanks ad people, for your emails, but I don’t really like advertising myself and wouldn’t want to put those who actually read this, not only through my rambles, but a bunch of text-ads.

    Also -some textlink ads are purely for the intention of sucking off your pagerank to other spammy sites - and google might penalize your search engine ranking for textlink ads.

    Good point. Especially those people who get my site address wrong (still talking about way old URL), idiots.
